How to join

All our groups are organized through Heylo, a purpose-built community app designed to help our members connect, learn, and get the most out of Mamma Swim.

With Heylo, mums can easily find all the information they need, connect with others before attending, create and join events, share photos, and understand exactly how everything works.

It’s easy to use, and if you’re feeling nervous about your first swim, you’ll find hundreds of mums ready to offer support and ease your concerns.

For quick approval, be sure to upload a clear, recent profile picture and include a short bio!

About us

Mamma Swim CIC is a social enterprise focused on enhancing the well-being of mothers through swimming, connection, and peer support.

We provide a free, welcoming community where mums can prioritize their own health and well-being while enjoying the benefits of swimming in a supportive environment.

With year-round sessions across North London, our unique childcare exchange enables mums to care for one another’s babies, giving each the opportunity for a much-needed swim.

Our community is built on shared experiences, resilience, and the belief that when mums are strong and happy, families thrive.

  • "‘Mamma Swim got me out of the house on days when I really didn't feel like it, got me moving and connecting with other mums, and definitely improved my physical and mental wellbeing."

  • ‘They say it takes a village to raise a child, Mamma Swim is my village.’

  • ‘Mamma Swim has reconnected me with my love of swimming and introduced me to an amazing group of women. It has massively improved my mental health and given me something outside family and work to have that is just for me.’

  • "Mamma Swim got me out of loneliness and isolation, it gave me strength through community when I felt so weak and vulnerable, it's offered me the most nourishing friendships, gave me much needed space for myself, helped me to come back and befriend this new body and has given me so much structure in mat leave."
